Financial Controller

Position: Controller
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Organization: BGC Saskatoon - On Site
Position Type: Part-Time Contract Position – Flexible Work Hours (approximately 20 hours per week)
Compensation: Competitive, based on education/designation and experience. Not eligible for the BGC Saskatoon benefit package.

Are you a financial professional with a passion for community impact? BGC Saskatoon is looking for a Controller to lead our accounting operations and support our mission of creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for children, youth, and families. 

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profits.
  • Audit preparation and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Collaborate on grant reporting and fund tracking.

What You Bring:
  • CPA designation (preferred) and a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian not-for-profit accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
