Position Title: Full-Time Temporary Program Staff (June 2026)
Location: BGC Saskatoon-Main office 105-135 Robin Cres
Hours: 35 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday, between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM (must be available for varying shifts within these hours). Office duties from 10:00am-2:30pm
Compensation: Salary wage with overtime paid when applicable
Position Overview:
BGC Saskatoon is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team in a full-time temporary position. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our Before & After School programs, ensuring that every child and youth experiences a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children and youth. You will work closely with BASP team members to plan and deliver meaningful programs that reflect BGC Saskatoon’s values of belonging, respect, encouragement and support, working together, and speaking out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for children and youth during Full Day Camps
- Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all participants is being met by our part-time staff
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive and supportive work environment
- Follow direction from the Managers and support program operations efficiently
- Communicate effectively with part-time staff, school administration, children, families, and colleagues
- Model positive behavior and leadership for participants
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be available for flexible shifts Monday–Friday between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
- Must have a valid class 5 license
- Experience working with children and/or youth in a group setting is an asset
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance (required prior to start date)
